The Summer School in Human Sciences will take place 20 May - 14 June 2019. Apply by 1 March!

The University of Jyväskylä is pleased to welcome you to our 16th intensive Summer School in Human Sciences in May-June 2019. The Jyväskylä Summer School in Human Sciences comprises of 22 interdisciplinary courses for students interested in e.g. cultural and communication studies, education, music, business & economics, sport and health sciences, social sciences or related fields.

All degree and exchange students of the University of Jyväskylä can apply to the Summer School in Human Sciences. You can choose one or more courses (one course per week). The Summer School is free of charge for the students of the University of Jyväskylä. Application deadline for the Summer School is 1 March 2019.

The online application form and instructions for completing the application are available at The application deadline is 1 March 2019. You are welcome to apply for the full summer school programme or parts of it. Each course lasts one week and they are worth 2-5 ECTS credits.

Teaching staff
The teaching staff of the Summer School consists of professors, researchers and experts from the University of Jyväskylä and from partner universities.
