#JYUnity Challenge: Let’s celebrate together!

Shared joy is a double joy and shared sorrow is half a sorrow! We wish to challenge all University students and staff to share your experiences on Instagram!

We have worked hard the whole spring term – Now it’s time to party!
How do you get into a party mood? Describe your party spirit and share it on Instagram with the hashtags #JYUnity and #JYUhaaste. Let’s celebrate together!

Participation Instructions and Rules:

1. Take a photo about life at the university, inspired by a theme published on the University of Jyväskylä Instagram account (@uniofjyvaskyla). The themes and contest periods vary, and will be informed of on the University account. The photos may portray e.g. places, events or persons. They should be clearly connected with each theme.

2. Make sure that your photo is public. The photographer is responsible for obtaining permission to publish the photo if it shows identifiable persons.  

3. Publish the photo on Instagram and attach #JYUnity or #JYUhaaste. Add a short text about the photo and how it illustrates the theme. You can participate in the contest with one or more photos.

4. The jury will pick the photo of the month, and it will be published on the University of Jyväskylä Instagram account. The winner of each month will receive a University T-shirt sporting a new brand graphic. At the end of each month, a cinema ticket package will be raffled between the participants. The winners will be personally notified via the University Instagram account, @uniofjyvaskyla.

5. By participating in the contest, the photographer shall give the rights to the photo to the organizer of the contest.  The organizer may, without special permission, publish the photo on social media and use it in marketing purposes. Instagram is not included in the contest. The organiser of the contest reserves the right to possible changes.
