Personal study plan (HOPS)
All degree students draw up a personal study plan (HOPS in Finnish) with the help of their study counsellors at the beginning of their studies.
The personal study plan helps students to complete their studies according to their own strengths and interests. It also provides study counsellors with information on students' wishes and needs.
The HOPS form is available at the Korppi system, where students can fill it in. On the basis of the form, the study counsellor and the student will have their HOPS discussions, usually at least once a year.
The study plan can consist, for example, of:
- goals and working life
- courses to be completed
- timing of studies
- modes of study
It is possible to modify the personal study plan along the studies.
